The plenary session of the event was attended by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
Organizer of the conference, which will be held April 23-24 in Tatarstan, together with the Dutch innovative regions network The Technopolicy Network supported by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia is the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR).
The conference was attended by delegations from several European regions, representatives of science and technology parks, small and medium business, and engineering centers. From Russia participates the representatives of 13 AIRR regions, federal ministries, the ministries and departments of the Republic of Tatarstan, the leaders of the regional innovation infrastructure facilities, universities and institutes of development.
«I think this is a very useful conference, - noted in his welcoming speech the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. – The theme of cluster development for us is very urgent and it is important to learn the experience of Russian regions and foreign countries in this direction».
At the plenary session was made presentations on experience of creating innovative clusters by the representatives of several European countries and AIRR regions. Foreign companies and business organizations have expressed their interest in cooperation with Russian partners in the creation of innovative productions, and in the development, science and education fields. Tatarstan is named as a region where there are many opportunities for the development of innovative projects.
During the conference is scheduled the presentation for Russian and foreign partners of industrial enterprises of Kama innovative regional production clusters and innovation infrastructure facilities of the Republic of Tatarstan: JSC «KAMAZ», JSC «Nizhnekamskneftekhim», «Nizhnekamskshina», JSC «KIP «Master», SEZ «Alabuga», «IT-park» in Naberezhnye Chelny. Today at the conference will be held thematic roundtables and meetings of businessmen.
