Tatarstan delegation headed by Rustam Minnikhanov is on an official visit to Turkmenistan

During the two-day visit the head of the region met with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President of Turkey Abdullah Gul, held a series of business meetings and participated in the celebrations dedicated to the Feast of the Turkmen Horse.

The delegation of the Republic includes the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, Minister of Transport and Roads of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Safin.

Among the leaders of Tatarstan enterprises Turkmenistan visited JSC «Tatneft» CEO Nail Maganov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC «Nizhnekamskneftekhim» Vladimir Bulgakov, JSC «KAMAZ» CEO Sergey Kogoghin and others.

At the bilateral meeting with President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Rustam Minnikhanov expressed confidence that the visit will contribute to further development of relations between the Republic of Tatarstan and Turkmenistan in various fields. The parties also discussed the visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan to Kazan for attending the opening ceremony of the «Kazan – the cultural capital of the Turkic world – 2014» program, which took place in these days in the capital of Tatarstan.
