Russia creates the Association of regional investment agencies

Structure, composition and direction of specialized non-commercial partnership (NGO) «Association of regional agencies» were identified during the first meeting of the Association, which was chaired by the Minister of Regional Development of the Russian Federation Igor Slyunyayev in Moscow.

The initiator of the Association together with the Ministry of Regional Development of Russia in partnership with regional agencies to attract investment, development corporations and the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) were Russian Investment Agency «Invest in Russia».

Association of regional agencies created as a platform for interaction and exchange of experiences among investment agencies in the Russian Federation, as well as their integration into the international investment community. Its main working directions are publishing material about the investment climate areas, the provision of information to potential investors about the investment potential of the country and regions of Russia, state programs to support investors, the priority sectors of the Russian economy for investment, investment features into each region and sector.

The Association of regional agencies included Tatarstan Investment Development Agency. Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov becomes Chairman of the Association.
