Tatarstan-Turkish business forum holds in Antalya

The presentation of economic and investment potential of the Republic of Tatarstan was attended by over 100 Turkish businessmen.

Forum, which was held during the official visit of Tatarstan delegation headed by Rustam Minnikhanov in Antalya, opened by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce Çetin Osman Budak. Welcoming the participants, he noted that the Kazan from 2002 is twinned with Antalya, since 2006 functions an agreement between commercial and industrial chambers of Turkish and Russian regions.

About the prospects of cooperation between Tatarstan and Antalya told Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, underscoring that today cooperation between Tatarstan and Turkey is actively developing in the Russian-Turkish relations. The President assured the Turkish entrepreneurs in the desire to create the most favorable conditions for investors and invited them to Tatarstan.

More about economic and investment potential of Tatarstan told Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov. During the forum were also presented Kazan Smart City and Innopolis projects, SEZ «Alabuga» and a number of areas for investment in the republic’s agriculture. About the tourist attractiveness of Tatarstan said Chairman of the Tatarstan State Committee on Tourism Sergey Ivanov. SEZ «Alabuga» CEO Timur Shagivaleev presented to Turkish businessmen the investment project of building a new administrative and business center of a special zone.
