Tatarstan delegation visits the Haier company's plant in Qingdao

A visit to the factory and the headquarter of the largest manufacturer of home appliances in the world took place within the working visit of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the official delegation of the Russian Federation to China.

Together with the head of Tatarstan Haier’s plant in Qingdao was inspected by Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan for International Affairs Radik Gimatdinov, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, SEZ «Alabuga» CEO Timur Shagivaleev, KIP «Master» CEO Maxim Steblov.

At the Haier’s plant in Qingdao, the delegation visited the line for the production of molds for forming the various parts - automotive components, home appliances parts and aircraft parts. At the company's headquarters for representatives of the Republic of Tatarstan held a tour in the «smart house» format, where products of Haier were presented. Here the guests acquainted with the history of the business since 1984 till present days.

At the meeting with Haier discussed the localization of project in the Republic of Tatarstan. Agreement on the location of the refrigerators’ production of Chinese company in Kama Industrial Park «Master» was signed in March 2014 as part of the second day of the International Winter Forum «Invest in Tatarstan».

Haier Vice Chairman Lien Hayshan, in conversation with Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Russia and the CIS are strategic markets and opening of the plant in Tatarstan is an important step for Haier: the company will deliver the products to the Russian, CIS and even Eastern Europe’s markets. In Russia, the company plans to not only organize the production, but also to open a development center.
