Heads of diplomatic missions to visit a national holiday Sabantuy

The participation in the final event of the VI International Economic Summit of Russia and OIC countries – national holiday Sabantuy – diplomats confirmed at the meeting with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov on KazanSummit 2014.

On a meeting with the head of the region participated Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Tunisia, Algeria, Iraq, Qatar, Bahrain, Indonesia, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Cuba and Egypt. «Your presence gives high status to the International Economic Summit, - addressed Mr. Minnikhanov to the guests in his welcoming speech. - KazanSummit today – is a platform where Russia is moving closer to the Islamic world».

Tatarstan President reminded that this is not his first meeting with the ambassadors of several countries of the Islamic world; good contacts are established, which are confirmed by specific projects. Such meetings are always has a positive influence on our mutually beneficial relationship, said Rustam Minnikhanov, communication at the regional level helps to build relations of Russia with the OIC countries.

The participants of the meeting noted the dynamic development of the summit, which strengthens its image. According to them, visits Tatarstan – a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the culture, language and traditions of one of the regions of Russia. Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary have expressed interest to continue maintaining contacts, promoting relations between the two countries in the cultural, educational, economic levels.

More specific proposals were made by Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Malaysia, Qatar, Indonesia Ambassadors. Mr. Minnikhanov invited participants to visit the final event of VI International Economic Summit of Russia and OIC countries – the national holiday Sabantuy, which will be held in Laishevskiy region of the republic.
