Tatarstan delegation is on a working visit in Lyon

During the visit to the capital of Rhone-Alpes representatives of the Republic, headed by Rustam Minnikhanov, held meetings with the leadership of the Lyon Chamber of Commerce, the presentation of economic and investment potential of Tatarstan, as well as visits to Lyon Technology Park and Renault Trucks plant.

The delegation of Tatarstan includes Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midhat Shagiakhmetov, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ruslan Kabirov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Tatarstan Shamil Ageev, SEZ «Innopolis» CEO Igor Nosov.

At the meeting with the leadership of the Lyon Chamber of Commerce, the Association of French Enterprises, Confederation of Small and Medium Business of Rhone-Alpes region, as well as the business community of the region were discussed issues of cooperation with the French region within the Russian-French relations. Mr. Minnikhanov said that during the visit to France he represents not only one of the subjects of the Russian Federation, but also the interests of the 14 innovative regions - as Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR) Board Chairman.

Tatarstan President noted that the region has a huge interest in exploring innovative infrastructure of French colleagues and cooperation in areas of republican students training in high schools of France, where is a strong engineering school. In the presence of the head of the republic signed a memorandum on cooperation between the Lyon Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Tatarstan. In addition, during the meeting and then business forum was a presentation of the economic and investment potential of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Business relations between the Rhône-Alpes region and Tatarstan, their role in strengthening cooperation between the two countries – Russia and France – were discussed at a meeting of the President Rustam Minnikhanov with Rhone-Alpes Regional Council President Jean-Jacques Keyran. The parties also discussed the issues of cooperation in the field of innovation and engineering, exchange business delegations between Tatarstan and French businessmen.

In the suburbs of Lyon Tatarstan delegation headed by Rustam Minnikhanov acquainted with the project «smart house». During the site survey Tatarstan President offered to send in Lyon Tatarstan specialists for detailed study of modern technologies and materials, as well as design elements used in the project.

The visit to the French Lyon ends with the visiting of manufacturer of civil and military trucks in France – Renault Trucks plants production.
