The International Conference «Innovation City» holds in Nice

In the plenary session of the event as part of its working visit to France participated President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

At the opening of «Innovative City 2014» head of the region noted that the preservation of the environment, historic sites and cultural heritage, the active use of high technologies – all the issues are important and interesting for Tatarstan as one of the economically developed regions of Russia.

Mr. Minnikhanov thanked the leadership of Nice for the invitation to participate in this event and expressed confidence that the knowledge obtained within the conference and new contacts will help in the further development of innovative projects that are running today in Tatarstan.

Tatarstan President said that the cooperation between the two countries allows us today to actively develop cooperation at the interregional level. According to him, the inter-regional ties and joint development areas are important in the modern world. In addition, the head of the republic said that a large-scale project «smart» city, which is currently being implemented in Nice, has much in common with the Tatarstan project – Kazan Smart City.

New investment platform of Tatartan also became the subject of discussion at the meeting of Rustam Minnikhanov with Deputy President of Nice Cote d'Azur, Nice Deputy Mayor of Economy and Industry Christian Tordo and CEO on Economy, Innovation and Communications of Nice Cote d'Azur Didier Visselman.
