Tatarstan delegation visits «Zonamerica» Free Zone

Presentation to delegation of the region led by Rustam Minnikhanov was held by «Zonamerica» Vice-president Isidoro Odara and Technopark Development Manager Leonardo Bonilla. The meeting was held in «Celebra Building» – the area’s main building, best office building in the world as recognized in the 2010.

Mr. Minnikhanov at the meeting told about Tatarstan’s projects on creating of special economic zones: SEZ «Alabuga», «Innopolis», Kazan Smart City.

«We look forward to explore the experience of Uruguayan Free Zones, - said the President of the Republic of Tatarstan – Because we consider that industrial and innovation parks are drivers of economic growth. Visiting the world's leading innovation centers, we integrate advanced foreign experience and apply it in Tatarstan».

During the meeting the sides discussed prospects of sharing experience and specialists between the special economic zones and investment platforms of regions, confirming mutual interest in cooperate.

Technopark «Zonamerica» was created in 1990. It is ocated in the free trade zone of Montevideo, ten minutes from Carrasco International Airport, twenty minutes – from the port of Montevideo.
