«Tasma» launches production of food packaging film

Enterprise with 80 years of history discovered a new activity – production of shrink barrier film. The launching ceremony of a new perspective on the production of «Tasma» in Kazan was attended by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

Barrier film is used for food packaging, helping to increase their shelf life. Formulation of the film was based on Italian technology, but with the participation of «Tasma» specialists. Primary funding for the project carried out by JSC «Sberbank of Russia» within the agreement signed on September 5, 2013. The total investment amounts is 303.5 million rubles.

The new project will give a «second breath» to «Tasma», going through difficult times in recent years. The company, whose main activity is the film production, received a new and perspective area of activity. In the production of barrier films appear high-tech jobs, some of which are filled by existing employees of «Tasma», but retrained. Power line is 48 million production meters per year.

Within the ceremony signed an agreement on cooperation between the «Tasma» and LLC «Ak Bars» Poultry Complex» (Russia), providing the supply of the Kazan film for industry food packaging.
