WAIPA seminar on public-private partnership starts in Kazan

Among the participants – representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development of the Russian Federation, the Russian Investment Agency «Invest in Russia», the Investment Development Agencies and Development Corporations of 14 regions of Russia, as well as ministries, agencies and organizations of the Republic of Tatarstan.

At the seminar, which will be held on August 25-27 at the site of Grand Hotel Kazan, presents the best international practices in the field of public-private partnership (PPP). The event will allow to get acquainted with the activities of WAIPA, discuss issues in PPPs and investment. One of the main topics will be the PPP as a tool for attracting investment.

The event was organized in collaboration with the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies – WAIPA by Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.

Speakers of the seminar is Kogan Pillay from South Africa's Department of Development and Raul Harbanda from Trade and Investment Agency of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

From the Ministry of Regional Development of Russia participated in the seminar Director of extrabudgetary investment projects Shilkina Marina, a delegation of the Russian Investment Agency «Invest in Russia» during the visit to Kazan is headed by Yuriy Wojciechowskiy. Regions of Russia are represented by the leaders of Investment Development Agencies and Development Corporations of Siberia, Altai, North Ossetia, Tula, Vladimir, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Novosibirsk, Omsk and Leningrad regions, the Republic of Tatarstan, Mari El, Chuvashia and Mordovia.

Tomorrow to the discussions of the seminar will join the Executive Director of WAIPA Carlos Bronzatto.
