Turkish «Coskunoz Holding» launches stamping production on SEZ «Alabuga»
The ceremony was attended by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov, Head of Elabuzhsky region Gennadiy Emelyanov, Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny Vasil Shaikhraziev.
At « Coskunoz Alabuga» will produce large and medium-metal body parts for the nearby «Ford Sollers» factory. Agreement on the start of the project was signed in October 2012 in Turkey's Bursa. The amount of investment in the creation of the company is about 70 million dollars, the plant will annually process 40,000 tons of steel.
Turkish holding is the first foreign investment project to develop a stamping production in the Republic of Tatarstan. In 2013, the « Coskunoz Alabuga» plant’s project was declared the winner in the category «Investment Project of the Year – 2013» on Russian Automotive Forum: the jury took into account the record time of the project and recommended the project as the best case study for other investors. In total 1.5 years it was registered, completed the legal procedures and the relevant processes and built a plant in the SEZ «Alabuga».
