New German Ambassador in Russia visits Kazan

In the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan Rüdiger von Fritsch came to participate in the opening ceremony of the German-Russian Institute of New Technologies.

During the visit, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Russian Federation attended a solemn event dedicated to the German-Russian Institute of New Technologies opening, took part in the presentation of the economic and investment potential of the Republic of Tatarstan, held at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, and also met with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

At the meeting with the head of the republic Rüdiger von Fritsch noted the cooperation with the Republic of Tatarstan, as one of the regions of Russia, and expressed the hope that the students who will study in German-Russian Institute of New Technologies, will also help to strengthen business contacts and establish new partnerships.

Rustam Minnikhanov, referring to the ambassador, noted that the republic today as one of the regions of Russia is working closely with Germany in many areas of the economy, underscoring that the energy, medicine, and education areas can become a perspective directions for cooperation.

Representatives of business circles of Germany, who took part in the meeting, made a number of proposals for cooperation with the Republic of Tatarstan. Were announced proposals  of interaction in the field of medicine, the creation of an engineering center in the field of engineering, education and research activities.
