Rustam Minnikhanov meet with the Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam

The parties discussed the prospects of cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the field of education and science within the further strengthening of Russian-Vietnamese relations.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that in the interaction of Vietnam and the Republic of Tatarstan has serious prospects in the field of education. Tatarstan universities prepare specialists in many areas, the region - one of the leading educational centers of Russia. Tatarstan President underscored that the country is actively cooperating with many countries in the field of education and student exchange, Tatarstan has a program of training and retraining in the Russian universities and abroad – the «Algarysh» program.

According to Rustam Minnikhanov, it is also important to expand contacts in the scientific and research activities, increasing the number of joint educational exhibitions, internships. President of the Republic of Tatarstan invited the Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam Pham Vu Luan visit Tatarstan to personally see and evaluate the potential of the region and its changes.

According to Pham Vu Luan, his country has a serious interest in the training of students in higher education institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan. In particular, we are talking about increasing the number of students, promoting the exchange of teachers, as well as readiness to host students from Tatarstan, which is especially important for such specialties as tropical medicine, environmental studies. Rustam Minnikhanov in further discussion suggested to create a working group for a closer cooperation, noting that from Tatarstan Engel Fattakhov will be responsible for this cooperation.
