The President of the Republic of Tatarstan and the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam meet in Hanoi

The parties discussed the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of industry, increasing the volume of trade turnover between Vietnam and Tatarstan as a region of the Russian Federation.

Tatarstan President said that trade turnover between Vietnam and the Republic of Tatarstan is now 30 million dollars and this amount needs to be increased, as both sides have a serious potential for this. He offered to arrange a visit of business delegation from Vietnam to Tatarstan for acquaintance with the economic possibilities of the country, explore options for establishing industries, establish new business contacts.

Representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam expressed that there are good opportunities for further strengthening and building relations between Tatarstan and Vietnam. In particular, it was noted that today in Vietnam are developing relationships with JSC «KAMAZ», carried out the delivery of helicopters, cooperate in the field of shipbuilding with Gorky Zelenodolsk Plant.

Vietnamese colleagues also noted that with the signing of an agreement to establish a free trade area between Vietnam and the Customs Union partnership of countries will be strengthened.
