The second meeting to discuss the prospects for the creation of Inter-regional areas (zones) of advanced development on the border of three Russian regions - the Republic of Tatarstan, Kirov region and the Republic of Mari El – took place in the village of Mari-Turek (Republic of Mari El).
The first working group meeting was held on September 13, 2014 within the Inter-regional trade fair in the Baltasi village in the Republic of Tatarstan. In the formed area (zone) of inter-regional development is expected to include Baltasi region of the Republic of Tatarstan, Malmyzhsky region of the Kirov region and Marie-Turek region of the Republic of Mari El.
A working group meeting was held in an expanded format. The Republic of Tatarstan presented by the Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Linar Yakupov, Head of Public-Private Partnership of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Sergey Golovin, representatives of the administration and the business community of Baltasi region. From the Republic of Mari El the meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Mari El Margarita Lezhnina, Mari El Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Igor Gubin, the Head of Marie-Turek region Sergey Reshetov, Head of Department of Agriculture Alexey Suvorov, administration officials and entrepreneurs of nearby areas of the republic.
From the Kirov region to the meeting of the working group came the Deputy Head of the Department of Agriculture and Food of the Government of the Kirov region Yevgeny Sofronov, Deputy Head of the Department of Economic Development of the Government of the Kirov region Natalia Kryazheva, Head of the Malmyzh administration Alexander Kostyunin.
On the meeting discussed issues of developing the concept of the Interregional zone of advanced development, the prospects for creating logistics centers and the management company, the formation of a single brand strategy and development of the project. Also covered issues of supply chains and inter-regional cooperation, the problems of marketing and processing in the places.
According to the discussion’s results identified specific priority actions to be undertaken by authorities of each of the regions involved in the project, as well as the timing of their execution.
