Taliya Minullina represents Tatarstan in an international forum in India

From 11 to 13 January in Gandhinagar of Republic of India holds an international investment forum "Energetic Gujarat-2015” (Vibrant Gujarat) - one of the major economic events of Eurasia and the world. It is organized by the Government of Gujarat and the Confederation of Industry with the support of the central government of India.

During the event more than 8,500 participants representing 111 countries share experiences, find new business partners and ways of attracting investment, and develop ways of cooperation in the economy. "Energetic Gujarat" opened on January 11 with the participation of heads of governments, ministers, heads of major international corporations and organizations. On behalf of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the forum participates Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina.

Opening the plenary session, the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi warmly welcomed the guests. "Our Forum - is Davos in action... We strive to make India a global manufacturing hub. And the whole world should be one family: Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, - he said. The Indian government plans to build "smart" city, a special attention will be paid to the development of infrastructure and attracting of foreign investment.

"Report of the Prime Minister of India, as well as a number of other speakers demonstrated that Tatarstan timely defined the priority in the development and keeps up with the times, we are in a global trend", - noted TIDA Chief Executive Taliya Minullina, attended the opening ceremony of the forum.

Thus, the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said the need to create by 2030 a "universal energy" - "to ensure the viability of 7 billion people on the planet." He also noted the need to protect the world from irreversible climate change. World Bank President Jim Yong Kim expressed the view that mankind by 2030 to be achieved two goals: to eradicate poverty and achieve prosperity. "Our success is largely due to the development of India. For investors and entrepreneurs, I note that there are many reasons to have an optimistic view of the future", - said the head of the International Finance Corporation. In addition, Mr. Kim told about a large-scale project related to the creation of solar energy to produce electricity. US Secretary of State John Kerry said that Gujarat - a symbol of change, opportunity and energy. Tsering Toba, the Prime Minister of Bhutan, called to carry out investments in his country, at the same time set the condition for potential investors: "Only if you acquaint with the culture, the inner world of our citizens, the traditions of our country, I will allow you to invest!".

Minister of Economic Development of Australia Andrew Robb urged to adopt the experience of the "Green continent": according to him, the involvement of the private sector in health care and education possible to make a breakthrough in the economy. Minister of Citizenship and Immigration of Canada Chris Alexander drew the attention of the forum participants on the need for peaceful coexistence of different cultures, what is a favorable factor for investment climate. According to Minister of Economy, Industry and Trade of Japan Toshimitsu Motegi, 1200 Japanese companies invested to India in 2014. Minister of Trade and Investment of the United Kingdom Lord Livingstone told interesting statistics. According to him, the United Kingdom is investing in India more than the rest of the European Union countries together. Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade of the Netherlands Simon Smits said that his country is the third in terms of investment in the economy of the host country of the forum. This is especially areas such as urban planning, health, agriculture. Very large and representative delegation of Singapore includes more than 100 people led by a senior government minister Goh Chok Tong.

Taliya Minullina, who is Co-chair of the working group for the development of Tatarstan-Indian cooperation, noted that the priority - responding to assignments of Rustam Minnikhanov, who at the end of November during "India-Tatarstan" Forum identified the most attractive areas of economic cooperation - oil refining, petrochemicals, fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, automotive, IT-technology and health care.

"Traditionally, friendly, strategic partner of Russia, the third economy in the world provides a large and representative area, including in order to intensify business cooperation, attract investment to our country and our republic from all over the world. We hope that in 2017 our Republic will be represented by a large delegation and we will be able to see the new results of cooperation", - noted Talia Minnulina.
