TIDA Chief Executive meets with the Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti

In the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Djibouti in Russia Mohamed Ali Kamil.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in Russia Ravil Akhmetshin and Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina discussed possible areas of cooperation with the diplomatic representatives.

The meeting participants noted that to date the most perspective for cooperation are areas such as medicine, education, tourism, automotive.

"On January last year with the invitation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov Kazan was visited by a delegation of 18 ambassadors and other official representatives of the countries of Africa. Active cooperation with the countries of the African continent is traditional for the Russian Federation, and, of course, Tatarstan. The Republic of Djibouti has a working seaport and this is a big advantage for the development of trade and economic relations", - noted Talia Minullina.

It is expected that soon the delegation of the Republic of Djibouti will come to Kazan for a more detailed study of the investment, industrial and educational potential of Tatarstan.

The Republic of Djibouti is located in the western part of Africa. In the east it is bordering the Gulf of Aden. The basis of the economy – is a trade through international port and associated services sector. Djibouti is a major trading port for Ethiopia.

Currently, about 50 students of this state are studying in the Russia, 99 percent of citizens who profess traditional Islam.
