Taliya Minullina takes part in the meeting of the Russian-Arab Business Council

On February 4 Moscow hosted a meeting on the development of cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Middle East.

The event was attended by TIDA Chief Executive Taliya Minullina, members of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Sergey Batin and Ildus Akhmetzyanov, representatives of the Presidential Office of the Republic of Tatarstan. Russian-Arab Business Council was represented by Deputy Director Vladislav Lutsenko and other officials.

During the meeting, the parties expressed the view that the VII international forum KazanSummit, which will be held in June 2015, aims to become a platform for a broad dialogue of Russian business and potential investors, which will strengthen the economic relations of Tatarstan with the Muslim and Arab world. The first meeting of the organizing committee, whose membership was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, to be held in February, and the receiving party is open to close cooperation with the Russian-Arab Business Council, constructive proposals and initiatives, noted the Deputy Chairman of the organizing committee of the international economic summit Taliya Minullina.

Participants also discussed ways to increase trade with countries of the Arab East, the possibility of implementing joint projects in the fields of petrochemicals, tourism, agriculture and industry.

"As part of the Board of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency  the President of Tatarstan underscored that the Middle East – is one of the priorities where it is necessary to strengthen the work. Today's meeting contributes to finding ways to intensify the joint work", - said TIDA Chief Executive.

Russian-Arab Business Council – is an organization to promote the development of trade and economic cooperation between business structures of Russia and the Arab countries and to provide effective assistance in establishing business contacts between businessmen.

Created in 2003 under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation and the General Union of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Arab countries.
