Tatarstan-Turkish Forum in Kazan

Today Tatarstan-Turkish business forum was held in "Corston". The event was attended by Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Turkey Nihat Zeybekdzhi, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina, Chairman of the Council on Foreign Economic Relations of Turkey «DEIK» Omer Vardan Jihad, Top managers of 20 Turkish companies, representatives of state bodies and commercial structures of Tatarstan. Before opening the forum potential investors had the opportunity to get acquainted with economic and investment potential of Tatarstan at the specialized exhibition.

Forum participants welcomed Mr. Minnikhanov. "We are interested in the fact that the Turkish partners chose Tatarstan as a launching pad for entering the Russian market, we have created for this entire infrastructure. We invite you to an expanded cooperation", - said at the opening ceremony the Head of the republic.

Minister of Economy of the Republic of Turkey Nihat Zeybekdzhi underscored that Tatarstan-Turkish relations have a special character, including the proximity of language, culture and the origin of the two natives. As the minister said it is necessary that the share of Turkey's total foreign investment in Tatarstan to be exceeded 30 percent.

Presentation of investment potential held TIDA Chief Executive Taliya Minullina. In particular, TIDA Chief Executive described in detail the benefits of infrastructure investment in Tatarstan, including the SEZ "Alabuga", SEZ "Innopolis", KIP "Master" and other facilities, including the municipalities of the republic.

"The Turkish and Tatar people have great quality - hardworking. Together we can implement the most ambitious plans. And with this faith in my heart I wish you a pleasant stay in Tatarstan", - said TIDA Chief Executive. Taliya Minullina also held several meetings with representatives of the Turkish business.

Within the forum also signed an agreement of intent to implement an investment project for the production of acrylic bathtubs and showers between Tyulyachi municipality and the "Mirbay" company. In addition, the forum participants acquainted with the objects of investment infrastructure of Tatarstan, and in the special economic zone "Alabuga" was solemnly launched "Hayat Kimya" plant.

In April will be a visit of representatives of the Turkish business community in Kazan, which in TIDA  will discuss perspective areas of cooperation.
