Tatarstan expands cooperation with Morocco

In the House of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met the Minister of Foreign Trade of the Kingdom of Morocco Mohamed Abbou. The meeting was attended by Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina.

Participants discussed the possible directions and mechanisms of development of investment and economic relations of African kingdom and Tatarstan on the basis of Russian-Moroccan relations in areas such as halal industry, textile industry, mechanical engineering and automotive, agro-industrial sector. Earlier in the investment forum AIM-2015, which took place on March 30-April 1 in the United Arab Emirates, Tatarstan government represantatives  held a series of negotiations with representatives of government and business representatives of a number of countries, including Morocco.

At the meeting it was decided to establish a joint working group, including TIDA Chief Executive Taliya Minullina.

 "The aim set by the leadership of the republic – is to strengthen relations with Asia and Africa. Morocco is part of the Maghreb, that means it is an African and Arab country. Of course, in the current economic situation today is the best time to enhance cooperation, including in the field of investment", - noted TIDA Chief Executive.
