Today in the House of Government Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with the delegation headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ireland in Russia Oyun O'Leary. The event was attended by Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina.
The sides discussed areas of cooperation between Tatarstan and Ireland in areas such as investment, innovation, education and science.
At the meeting was also presented infrastructure opportunities for entrepreneurship support and innovation development in Ireland. Distinguished guests spoke about the experience of functioning of the State Agency for Development of Export, Entrepreneurship and Innovation. It is the government agency that is responsible for supporting Irish business abroad. State actively supports small and medium businesses; to finance start-ups annually allocates 22 million euros. In addition, a specialized Academic center holds scientific research, which can then serve as the basis for new business cases, which also have support measures.
To the representatives of European countries, in turn, has been demonstrated investment potential of Tatarstan.
By the suggestion of Taliya Minullina Acting President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov instructed to organize a business mission to Ireland and the visit of representatives of the Ireland business community to Tatarstan.
TIDA Chief Executive, participated in the meeting, underscored: "The interaction with the leading European states in the current economic situation is very important. Ireland has experience in creating attractive investment economic space, in its territory located 1,150 headquarters and production facilities of international companies. In turn, Tatarstan is also of interest for European businesses, and the increased presence of international brands is a clear proof of that. The visit of the delegation opens a new page in our relations".
