The Republic of Peru is interested in studying the experience of Tatarstan in the creation and development of special economic zones

The Republic of Peru is interested in studying the experience of Tatarstan in the creation of investment infrastructure. This was stated by the Acting Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru Edgar Vasquez at a meeting with Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. Tatarstan - is the only subject of the Russian Federation on the territory of which are located two special economic zones - "Innopolis" and "Alabuga". Also republic has other objects of investment infrastructure.

The leader of Tatarstan noted that Russia and Peru has a huge potential for cooperation. Within the Russian-Peruvian relations Tatarstan plans to develop economic cooperation in areas such as education, engineering, petrochemicals, new materials and advanced technologies, information, innovation development, agriculture and tourism.

In addition, within the working visit (May 26-27) in Peru Rustam Minnikhanov visited the bus assembly line of "Madasa" factory based on "KAMAZ" chassis, met with representatives of business circles of Peru and held negotiations with the Chairman of the Association of Exporters of Peru (ADEX) Eduardo Amorrortu Velayos.

During the meeting with representatives of business circles of the South American country in Association of Exporters of Peru (ADEX) Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Deputy Chief Executive Marat Bukharaev held a presentation of economic and investment potential of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The central part of the visit of Acting President of Tatarstan in the city of Lima was the meeting with the President of Peru Ollanta Humala Tasso, which was held in the Presidential Palace on 26 May.

Ollanta Humala Tasso and Rustam Minnikhanov discussed the perspective areas of cooperation, including the field of investment.

The leader of the republic invited the head of Peru to visit Tatarstan.

It is also expected that soon the Peruvian business representatives will visit Tatarstan with aim of development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
