In Kazan to open the Chinese Consulate, new investment projects and a new level of relations with China

 Today in the Kazan Kremlin the Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (China's parliament) Zhang Dejiang. The event was attended by Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina.
 After welcoming a large delegation, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan is interested in further studying the Chinese experience on the creation of industrial sites, establishment of direct air services.
In turn, the head of the delegation of the Asian State expressed readiness to assist in the establishment of direct air services between Kazan and China and the implementation of joint investment projects.
The honored guest, who is the third person in the Chinese state system, also noted that Tatarstan has an important advantage – this is a favorable geographical position, the republic has developed scientific and technological cluster, education, industry. Tatarstan is developing according to its development plan, noted the head of the parliament of China.
"Tatarstan is a leading Russian region for cooperation with our country and we have a great potential for cooperation. I am sure that we have the perspective of a broad and bright future within the cooperation", - said the head of the Standing Committee.
In addition, Mr. Zhang Dejiang has paid great attention to the project of high-speed highway Moscow-Kazan: China expects high profitability of the project and intends to increase the volume of investments in HSH. In addition, due to HSH China plans to increase tourist traffic by several times.
The honored guest spoke in detail about the achievements of the Chinese economy. Thus, the volume of the economy by the end of 2014 exceeded 14 trillion dollars, 4 trillion dollars from the trade with other countries. China produces 230 kinds of industrial products and ranks first in the world in terms of turnover.
By plan the growth of GDP should reach 7 percent per year, which corresponds to the actual performance of the first quarter of 2015, as in the previous 30 years GDP growth has averaged 9.4 percent, said the head of China's parliament.
Mr. Zhang Dejiang also underscored that the Asian country is ranked 1st in the world in terms of attracting investments: 1.5 trillion dollars over 30 years and more than 100 billion dollars in 2014; China has itself become the world's largest investor and is very interested in Tatarstan to be a partner.
"Of course, it is very important that Russia to have favorable conditions for Chinese investors", - said Mr. Dejiang.
The leader of Tatarstan said that very highly appreciates China's experience and expressed willingness to provide favorable conditions for investors. Rustam Minnikhanov also invited Zhang Dejiang visit again Tatarstan with the aim at further development of economic relations.
At the meeting it was announced that in the near future in Kazan will open the Consulate General of China, it is expected to sign such agreement.
"The visit of a statesman of a such a high level in our republic shows the special importance of Tatarstan-China relations developing within the Russian-Chinese cooperation, opens a new historic page of Tatarstan and China", - said Taliya Minullina.
