On June 15-16 in Kazan will be held VII International economic summit of Russia and the countries of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) KazanSummit 2015. The main events will take place in the "Korston".
To participate in KazanSummit 2015 registered 746 people from 45 countries (Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan, Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan, UAE, Somalia, Kazakhstan, Iran, Malaysia, UK, Luxembourg, Italy, Morocco, Palestine, Tajikistan, Mauritius, Qatar, the Netherlands, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Nigeria, Brunei Darussalam, Algeria, Indonesia, Korea, Zambia, Iraq, China, South Africa, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, India, Georgia, Yemen, the Philippines, Jordan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Lebanon, Switzerland Macedonia, Hungary, Bahrain).
The participants include government officials, representatives of various financial institutions, business, diplomatic missions (16 ambassadors) and regions of the Russian Federation. In addition, the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia are presented.
The summit’s event will be attended by Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, at the invitation of whom the President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Ahmed Mohamed Ali Al Madani will visit the international negotiating platform. The leader of the Republic and Head of the IDB after taking part in the KazanSummit events will discuss perspectives for the development of Muslim financial institutions in Russia with the Chairman of the Central Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina in Moscow.
The main focus of the international business forum will be "Islamic finance for constructive global trade and investment". In particular, will be discussed perspectives and mechanism for the implementation of such a financial instrument as Islamic banking.
KazanSummit Agenda is particularly topical in the current context of international economic relations; the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan newly open the potential of interaction with the Islamic world.
For Tatarstan event has a special significance: the leader of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov heads the group of strategic vision "Russia - Islamic World" and on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin coordinates the cooperation with the countries of the Muslim East. I Meeting of the Strategic Vision Group was held in Moscow on the eve, on June 11. It was attended by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Secretary General of the OIC Iyad Madani and others.
Thus, Tatarstan strengthens its value as a site of interaction on a wide range of issues, area to attract investment from the countries of the Muslim world to Russia.
As part of the global event will be held Strategic Forum, dedicated to the main theme of the summit, the Forum on Islamic economics, finance and banking, the Forum for International Trade, Investment Forum and a business dialogue: "Russia - the Arab world. A new stage of cooperation: trade, contracts, investments and finance". Presentation of investment potential and infrastructure, export opportunities, the banking sector of Tatarstan will take place. In addition, will be the first regional meeting of Islamic World Network, the closure of the I Kazan Forum of Young Entrepreneurs of the OIC countries, round tables on tourism and urban studies and a number of other events. Also will be hold bilateral meetings.
The VII International economic summit of Russia and OIC countries will be covered by 94 representatives of mass media from Russia, Switzerland, Lebanon, Jordan and the United Kingdom.
On behalf of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan summit organized by the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, the central responsible body is Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA).
The composition of the Organizing Committee of the summit, led by Deputy Prime Minister - the Head of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan Shamil Gafarov includes representatives of ministries, departments and other organizations. Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee is TIDA Chief Executive Taliya Minullina.

Organization of Islamic Cooperation (until 2011 was called "The Organization of the Islamic Conference") - an intergovernmental organization uniting 57 Muslim countries with a population of over 1.2 billion people. Created in 1969 on the initiative of Saudi Arabia, it is one of the major international organizations. Russia has observer status in the OIC since 2005. In 2008 the Russian government decided to establish the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation in the OIC.
