"Russia is of great interest to the Muslim business..." Investment Forum within the KazanSummit

On June 16 were held the events of the second and final day of KazanSummit 2015.

 Thus, in "Korston" were held Investment Forum, business dialogue "Russia-Arab world. A new stage of cooperation: trade, contracts, investments and finances", roundtable on urbanism, the first regional meeting of the Islamic World Network, B2B meetings.

The central event of the second day of the International summit was the Investment Forum, where also was held a presentation of the investment potential of the Russian Federation regions.

The moderator of the forum was Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive, Deputy Chairman of the KazanSummit Organizing Committee Taliya Minullina. The speakers at the forum were the Director of the Investment Department of Islamic Development Bank Mohamed Hedi Medzhai, ISIEC CEO Advisor Hussein Haji Khalif Jama, Investment Director of "RUSNANO" Vadim Veschezerov, AV group President Alexey Krylov, "TIIC Trading Group" Director Murad Yandiev.

Opening the forum, Taliya Minullina underscored that Tatarstan is a successful region of the Russian Federation and a platform to attract investment from the countries of the Muslim world to Russia. "As the leader of our republic Rustam Minnikhanov said, KazanSummit contributes to the further strengthening of trade-economic and investment cooperation between Russia and the Islamic world, cooperation in the field of Islamic finance and banking. Tatarstan provides a platform for constructive collaboration with the business community of the Muslim countries, including - representatives of other Russian regions. This is our all-Russian goal", - said Taliya Minullina.

Director of the Investment Department of Islamic Development Bank Mohamed Hedi Medzhai, speaking at the forum, said that the Russian Federation is of great interest to the Muslim business.

"Russia has a powerful economy and a huge market, in addition, talking about your country, we can also talk about all the possibilities of the Eurasian Union, which is developing dynamically",  - said the representative of the IDB. "We believe that in the long term in Russia could be opened Islamic bank, whose services are in demand by people of different faiths", - addressed the audience Mr. Medzhai.

Institutions of Muslim financial system are very interesting for representatives of Russian innovation business. About this in his report said the Investment Director of "RUSNANO" Vadim Veschezerov. The representative of RUSNANO said that previously was paid more attention in the cooperation with the institutions of the United States and Western Europe, today there is extensive cooperation with other countries, including the Muslim world. According to him, the legislation allows Russia now to work with some institutions of Muslim financial system (for example, investment partnership and Musharaka almost identical: investors share the risks and responsibilities), at the same time working with such tools is possible only within the relevant legislation.

ISIEC CEO Advisor Hussein Haji Khalif Jama spoke on insurance of foreign investments in the countries of the Muslim world.

During the forum there were presentations of Russian regions and investment projects, including the Kemerovo Region (Eugene Vostrikov), Republic of Bashkortostan (Alexander Yakovlev).

At the end of the forum TIDA Chief Executive thanked the participants for their attention to the international negotiating site - KazanSummit and underscored that even after the official closing of the event Tatarstan is open to multilateral cooperation with countries of the Muslim world.
