XIX Petersburg International Economic Forum opens

 Today in St. Petersburg was held the official opening of XIX International Economic Forum. This negotiating platform traditionally gathers a lot of participants from different countries, including political leaders, prominent businessmen. The motto of the forum-2015 - "The time to act: the joint efforts for stability and growth!".

The plenary meeting (the main theme - "The honest answer to explicit questions") was attended by First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Igor Shuvalov, Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Sberbank German Gref, the famous economist, former Russian Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin and others.

SPIEF Organizing Committee Chairman, Head of the Russian Government Sergei Prikhodko, speaking at the plenary session, pointed out that in the current situation the effort should be directed "to find understanding, a return to an atmosphere of trust between the key actors in the world economy".

This year the St. Petersburg Forum was attended by representatives of business circles of more than 100 countries (including China, USA, France, Switzerland, Japan, Britain, Germany, Finland): 42 government representatives, 195 heads of major foreign companies and 509 heads of Russian companies. It is planned to sign about 65 agreements.

The event was attended by Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina.
