Google, Facebook, start-ups, the Irish IDA: investment potential of Tatarstan presented in Ireland

The delegation headed by Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov is in a working visit to Ireland. The delegation includes Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina. One of the aims of the visit – is an acquaintance with the best practices in the field of innovation and venture development.

"Despite some of the economic crisis, the Russian market continues to evolve. We are interested in the fact that Irish companies can chose our republic as a launching pad in Russia. We invite Irish companies to cooperate with the Republic of Tatarstan", - said the leader of the Republic at a meeting with the business community.
The Republic of Ireland is a country where great attention is paid to support of innovation and investment projects. This country has been chosen to locate its European headquarters such innovation and investment giants as Google, Facebook and others.
To finance start-ups annually gives out 22 million euros. The specialized Academic center creates research and development, which can then serve as the basis for new business cases, which are have also support measures. Ireland has experience in creating attractive investment space, in the country located more than 1,150 headquarters and production facilities of international companies, largely due to lower tax rates.
Ireland has an analogue if TIDA - IDA Ireland (Ireland agency to attract foreign investment), which works with both large and small companies. As part of the work program Taliya Minullina presented at a business breakfast of the Irish - Russian Business Association with the presentation of the investment potential of Tatarstan, providing details about the objects of investment infrastructure, including special economic zone "Alabuga" and SEZ "Innopolis". TIDA Chief Executive visited Trinity College Dublin and the production site of the INNALABS Company.
On June 30 the TIDA Chief Executive presented in an innovation ecosystem Ireland Enterprise in front of the representatives of business circles.
"As you know, our country and the Republic intensify work with Latin America, Asia, Africa, while at the same time, cooperation with European business also important, including in the field of investment projects. Tatarstan became close for many brands, and in Ireland located the headquarters of investment empires. Of course, this is a kind of a guide for us", - emphasized TIDA Chief Executive.
Taliya Minullina participated in the meeting of the Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan with the Minister of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources of Ireland Alex White and State Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland - Co-Chairman of the intergovernmental Russian-Irish Committee on Business Development Sean Sherlock.
