A memorandum of cooperation between Tatarstan and Slovenia

On September 15 in the Kazan Kremlin was signed the memorandum between the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation) and the Government of the Republic of Slovenia on cooperation in the field of economy, science and technology, environmental protection, culture and other areas.

Document was signed by the Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia Karl Eryavets. The memorandum was signed at the Russian, Slovenian, Tatar and English.

The event was attended by Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina and other Republican members of the Cabinet of Ministers, members of the Slovenian delegation.

"In general, we want to develop cooperation with Russia's regions, and there are great opportunities for Slovenian companies in Tatarstan. We see that there are prospects for cooperation in the field of information, health, agriculture. We would like to use this opportunity", - said Carl Eryavets.

"The potential for cooperation between Russia and Slovenia is huge. And Tatarstan has a long good relationship with Slovenia. The fact that the meeting of the Russian-Slovenian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade-Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation is in Kazan - a landmark event", - said the acting President of Tatarstan.

Rustam Minnikhanov said that the interaction between the republics already set in, but the possibilities for cooperation is much greater. In particular, in such areas as engineering, manufacture of automotive components, agro-industry, construction, energy, food, health care, pharmaceuticals and others.

In December 2014 TIDA Chief Executive Taliya Minullina as part of the Tatarstan delegation visited Slovenia, where was the Tatarstan-Slovenian business forum. On December 19, 2014 in Ljubljana held XI meeting of the Russian-Slovenian intergovernmental commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation.

The plenary meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Slovenian commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation will be held in Kazan on September 17.
