Rustam Minnikhanov assumes office of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan
Today,Rustam Minnikhanov, who won the elections on September 13, 2015, assumed office of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The ceremony of inauguration took place at Salikh Saidashev Big Concert Hall.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a congratulatory message to Tatarstan President.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by over 700 people representing federal authorities, governments of foreign states, heads of subjects of the Federation, members of the Government of Tatarstan, federal and regional deputies and other honorable guests.
Rustam Minnikhanov said the text of the oath: “I solemnly swear to faithfully serve the people of Republic of Tatarstan, to protect the civil rights and liberties and Tatarstan’s state sovereignty; to observe the Russian Federation’s Constitution, Republic of Tatarstan’s Constitution and Tatarstan laws; to conscientiously fulfil the President of Tatarstan duties imposed on me”.
The ceremony was attended by Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Acting Chief Executive Taliya Minullina.
