President address: 7 billion investments is not enough, further work needed

President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov addressed his annual message to the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan on the internal and external position of the republic.The event was attended by Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina.Addressing the audience and all the people of Tatarstan, the President paid much attention to investment development of the republic.Rustam Minnikhanov has defined the role of the republic in the same economic, social and cultural space of Russia: "Tatarstan - a distinct and self-contained region of Russia".The president also noted the role of Tatarstan as a center of new technologies and industries, particularly – processing industry.Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the President and the Government of Russia for the support of regional development. The leader of the republic expressed confidence that Strategy 2030playsa great importance for the continued success.Tatarstan is open to cooperation with foreign states, transnational corporations and other entities, today the republic cooperates with more than 140 countries, said the speaker. The volume of foreign investments amounted to " about 7 billion dollars in 5 years".Tatarstan President noted the need to speed up work on the creation of the third special economic zone in Tatarstan - on the basis of Sviyazhsk interregional multimodal logistics center. This creates agglomeration (clusters) of 3 SEZ ("Innopolis", "Alabuga", Sviyazhsk), which has no analogues in the country and give a powerful synergistic effect.Speaking about the objects of investment infrastructure, Tatarstan President instructed to create efficient industrial sites in each municipal region, spoke about the importance of the creating Innokamagglomeration, and noted that the KIP "Master" in Naberezhnye Chelny after increasing to 1.3 million square meters will be the largest indoor industrial park in the world.As is known, republic systematically engaged in the development of human capital. This is necessary for the effective implementation of major investment projects, the President said."We have become more united, experienced and ambitious", - stated the President. During his speech he repeatedly thanked Tatarstan citizens, emphasizing that the achievements of the republic – is the overall merit of the people of Tatarstan.Taliya Minullina comments:"Today the President gave an impressive figure: the volume of foreign investments amounted to about 7 billion dollars in 5 years, and made it clear that this is not the limit: it is necessary to increase investment activity, use all the resources at the same time; we should make sure that more and more companies chose Tatarstan as a platform for localizing their business and promoting throughout Russia, the output of high technologies on global markets.TIDA is guided by these words of the President.
