"Rostec" comes to Tatarstan: new projects at the meeting of "Tatneftekhiminvest-holding" Board of Directors

A regular meeting of the Board of Directors of JSC "Tatneftekhiminvest-holding" was held on September 28 in Kazan under the chairmanship of the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
The event was attended by TIDA Chief Executive Taliya Minullina.
In the event was considered a number of investment projects proposed for implementation in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Thus, JSC "RT Himkompozit" (part of "Rostec" state corporation) intends to develop cooperation with Tatarstan on many projects. About them at the meeting said "RT Himkompozit" CEO Adviser Sergei Ryabykh.
"Today we are working on the issue of localization of production of ultra-high molecular polyethylene of fiber, pressing and extrusion grades. Products used in various fields, including the defense industry, particularly in body armor production. This is a truly high technology and import substitution, which means - it is our priority", - emphasized Taliya Minullina.
Another project involves the production in the SEZ "Alabuga" gas cylinders of the 4th generation of polymeric composite materials (PCM). These cylinders with high strength and no gas permeability are four times lighter than steel ones. "RT-Himkompozit" intends to organize in the republic of manufacture filling stations on container type. They are designed for refueling with compressed gas using these cylinders. The advantage is the possibility of filling containers at existing gas stations.
It was also suggested the organization in Tatarstan deep processing of flax into weaving and high-quality cellulose fibers.
As a further areas of cooperation "RT Himkompozit" proposes the creation of the Center for low-tonnage chemistry, whose task will be the import substitution throughout the whole chain of chemical raw materials conversion.
The President noted that the projects are interesting and are of practical importance for the economy of the republic, gave relevant instructions to support them.
