Taliya Minullina: an agreement with MasterCard – is an example of international cooperation, and this is just the beginning

 Today an agreement on cooperation between Tatarstan and MasterCard international payment system in the field of information and payment services with the aim of the socio-economic development of Tatarstan was signed. The signing ceremony held at the International Information Forum "Sochi".
Document was signed by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and President of MasterCard's High Growth European Markets region Bella Stavchansky.
The agreement provides for the implementation of a number of related projects, which are aimed at more widespread imlementation of cashless payment and advanced payment technologies.
Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that Tatarstan's cooperation with MasterCard lasts for many years. Technological solutions of MasterCard widely were used in preparation for the Universiade-2013, in the "E-government", "School map" and other projects. "I hope that our partnership will continue to develop", - said Rustam Minnikhanov.
"We are very pleased that our cooperation with Tatarstan has reached a qualitatively new level. MasterCard appreciates the willingness of the republic to develop new projects based on the features and benefits of our technological solutions, - said Bella Stavchansky. - The introduction of innovative payment technologies – is one of the strategic directions of MasterCard in Russia".
In the near future the parties will work together on the creation of a single payment and identification tool - "Card of a resident of the Republic of Tatarstan". Work will continue on the intensive development of non-cash payment network (including using of MasterCard contactless technology) for transportation, medical and educational fields, sports facilities.

"The president of Tatarstan in his address to the State Council of the Republic emphasized that need an active support of Tatarstan high-tech companies to enter global markets and business participation in international economic cooperation.
Such agreements is an example of the cooperation of Tatarstan with brands. In particular, on the basis of the agreement signed today, will be implemented the concept of "City without cash" in the city and special economic zone "Innopolis" together with MasterCard.
And this is just the beginning".
