About Russian-Japanese Consultative Council on the modernization of the economy and meeting with the heads of Japanese corporations - I have good news: there is a high chance that the 6th meeting of the Russian-Japanese Consultative Council on modernization of the economy will be hold in Kazan. It became known at today’s (October 5) meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Arkady Dvorkovich and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan in Russia Tikahito Harada. The work was built on 5 different areas, where in each were presented the Russian and the Japanese reports. They discussed issues such as energy efficiency and conservation, medicine, agriculture, urban environment, infrastructure, and others. A report on the progress of Tatarstan work with Japan was made by President Rustam Minnikhanov, who spoke about the major projects, in particular, the plant "Ammonium", scientific-educational project of KSU and Japanese scientists. Among the key speaker was "Eidos-Medicine" CEO. By this, the delegation's work is not over. For example, we had the honor to visit the Dzhuntendo University, which cooperates with Tatarstan. President met with the leadership of "Sojitz Corporation" and "Mitsubishi Heavy Industries".   About the Japanese "Smart City" - Using the money of private investors successfully creates "smart city" - "Smart City Fujisawa in Japan. The cost - 60 billion yen. This is a unique, eco-friendly project. Today there are 230 houses already built and live about 700 residents. High-tech village is equipped with video cameras. Populous city, with small private houses each with an area of ​​about 120 square meters, which are equipped with solar panels that provide electricity, and the control panel through which they can watch for their children, manage the accounts or to monitor environmental performance online. It also organized an ecological car rent: it is planned that the residents will move on a rented cars. We could use the Japanese experience in the development of Innopolis, implementation of "Kazan Smart City".   About Forum in Kyoto - 4 October started the annual international forum "Science and technology in society in Kyoto. This is an "Asian Davos" bringing together more than 1,000 participants. The following year Tatarstan delegation will take an even more active participation in the forum - it is a powerful platform for the development of Tatarstan-Japanese relations.
