Meeting with the Governor of Sichuan Province of China Wei Hoon

Today Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina attended a meeting of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of Sichuan Province of the People's Republic of China Wei Hoon. The event was held in Chengdu, which is the administrative center of the province.

The meeting was held in the "10 + 1" format, the Chinese side was represented by the heads of the Secretariat of the People's Government of the region, the Committee for Development and Reform, the Committee on Economy and Informatization, Department of commercial affairs and others.

The Governor noted that Sichuan is the economic developed province of China, which is ready to develop cooperation with the Republic of Tatarstan. In the GRP industry is 44%, and agriculture - 16%.

President Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that today the companies of Tatarstan and Sichuan need to implement major joint economic projects, including investment, as do the large Chinese companies.

The meeting discussed issues of further cooperation in areas such as energy, construction, engineering, food processing, agro-industrial sector and others.

Between the Republic of Tatarstan and the province of Sichuan in August was signed a cooperation agreement, the regions are actively involved in the work of the joint regional group "Volga-Yangtze".

Tatarstan and Sichuan are involved in the project of "Europe-Western China" transport corridor, which is the part of high-speed highway Moscow-Kazan.
