Tatarstan delegation was "lured" by Moldovan wine to the investment forum of brotherly Gagauzia

 Agreement on cooperation between the Chambers of Trade and Commerce of Tatarstan and Gagauzia by prior arrangement will be signed in November, the Tatarstan delegation was invited to the investment forum in Gagauzia (6-8 November). This was announced during a meeting of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Head of Gagauzia Irina Vlach at the Kazan Kremlin (September 20), which was attended by TIDA Chief Executive Taliya Minullina.

The sides also signed a plan of action for trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Executive Committee of Gagauzia for 2016-2018 years.

"Measures must be specific. We believe that we have great opportunities for cooperation: trade and economic contacts, agriculture, health, self-government. You will be interested to look at our system of e-government and e-trade. It is also necessary to intensify the work in the field of culture", - said the President of Tatarstan.

Irina Vlach thanked the President of the Republic of Tatarstan for organizing the visit. She noted that Gagauzia focuses on the development of cooperation with the Russian regions.

"We know that Tatarstan is one of the leading regions of Russia, and would like to strengthen our relationship in many directions", - said Irina Vlach.

Cooperation between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Government of Gagauzia is carried out in the framework of agreement signed in 1999.

Gagauzia or Gagauz Yeri (eiders. Gagaúz Yerí, Romanian - Găgăúzia) –autonomous territorial entity in the south of Moldova. Created from the settlements, where more than 50% of inhabitants are Gagauz, as well as where the majority of residents on the results of the referendums voluntarily agreed to enter autonomy. Gagauz - related to Tatars people, speaking a Turkic language, Orthodox by religion.
