Tatarstan at a forum in Moscow: the value of the "miracle" in the financial world, Israel and Tatarstan towards investment partnership

Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina presented investment potential of Tatarstan on the "Forum of Business Initiatives: ISRAEL-RUSSIA 2015", which takes place in Moscow today. The event is timed to the XII meeting of the Joint Russian-Israeli intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation.
The Chairman of the Israel-Russian Business Council Teimuraz Hihinashvili (Ben Yehuda), Chairman of the Russian-Israeli Business Council Sergei Ulin and others welcomed the participants.
According to the organizers of the event - Israeli-Russian Business Council, with the support of the Israeli Embassy in Russia - one of the most important issues of the forum is "to discuss projects for future cooperation between the Israeli-Russian Business Council and Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, the establishment of direct partnerships between companies, promoting strengthening of business cooperation, as well as an understanding of the prospects of establishing joint business".
 
Presentation of the investment potential of Tatarstan: the common features of the peoples, "growth points" and wonders
Addressing the participants Taliya Minullina, in particular, noted: "Israel and the business community of the country and the Diaspora have tremendous potential for high-tech investment in various sectors of the economy. Tatarstan, in turn, is a region-leader in the investment climate in Russia, has developed investment infrastructure, including high-tech projects". TIDA Chief Executive also gave details about the special economic zone "Innopolis", "Alabuga", building Sviyazhsk multimodal logistics center and other "points of growth", the success stories of global brands in Tatarstan, perspective niches for investment.
Taliya Minullina emphasized that the Jewish community in Tatarstan has about 9000 people, and President Rustam Minnikhanov holds regular meetings with its representatives. "The chief rabbi has newly born eighth child. Apparently, living in Tatarstan, is really comfortable", - said the speaker. Also a member of the Government of Tatarstan told about the general characteristic features of the Israeli population and Tatarstan: "this is the cunning and wisdom. Another striking example - the value of family. It has a great importance".
TIDA Chief Executive reminded to the participants the parable, which tells about the significance of the miracle in the financial sector:
"In the Jewish parochial school during a lesson teacher tells the students the story: "One pious Jew's wife died but left a little baby. Then he prayed to God for help. God filled the man's breast with milk so that he can nourish the baby".
And then one inquisitive student asked: "Teacher, why so difficult? Why didn’t God just gave him the money to hire a nurse, who would nourish the baby?".
And the teacher replied: "If you can get a miracle, why waste money?".
"Tatarstan - is a wonderful place. Including because with your cunning and wisdom, you can not spend the money but make them increase. To do this, you need come to Tatarstan and start to work, and Investment Development Agency will help you",- summed up Taliya Minullina.
 
Investment projects and decisions of the Intergovernmental Commission
Participants of the Israeli and Russian delegations made presentations of ongoing and potential investment projects.
Thus, representatives of business circles of Israel and Russia made a presentation of investment projects in transport infrastructure, petrochemicals, energy, agricultural technology, production of precious stones, the hotel industry, medicine and others.
At the end of the event it decided that the Israeli-Russian Business Council will prepare (initiate) the draft decisions of the Joint Russian-Israeli intergovernmental commission on trade-economic cooperation, and to provide these projects to discuss the future development of doing business of the Israeli business circles in Russia and Russian business circles in Israel.

The purpose of the forum is to "establish a dialogue between Israeli companies and representatives of Russian power structures and the business community, identifying areas of future cooperation, using the experience of Israeli innovation, expansion of trade and economic relations between the State of Israel and Russia".
Israeli-Russian Business Council was established in 2010, is a non-political organization whose main aim is to establish direct business contacts and favorable conditions of cooperation between the organizations and companies of the State of Israel and the Russian Federation.
