Tatarstan sets the minimum wage

In the Republic of Tatarstan on the basis of Articles 133.1 Labour Code of the Russian Federation from October 2, 2015 an agreement on the minimum wage in the Republic of Tatarstan (hereinafter - Agreement) was signed between the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Coordinating Council of Employers of Tatarstan, Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers.

In organizations of off-budgetary sector of the economy of the Republic of Tatarstan established minimum wage of not less than 7309 rubles a month.

In this regard, in accordance with Articles 1 and 5 of the Agreement monthly salary (including the compensation or incentive payments) of an employee of off-budgetary sector of the economy, working in the Republic of Tatarstan and has labor relations with the organization - legal entity, individual entrepreneur without a legal entity operating in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan from October 2 can not be less than 7309 rubles, if the employee is completely worked its working plan and made job duties.

The minimum wage for employees of state and municipal institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan is determined in accordance with the Federal Law "On the Minimum Wage" (from 1 January 2015 in the amount of 5965 rubles a month).

The text of the Agreement was officially published on 10/09/2015 in the newspaper "The Republic of Tatarstan" and 10/10/2015 - in the newspaper "Vatanym Tatarstan".

Employers who violate labor laws in the part of the established state guarantee for the payment of the minimum wage (for off-budgetary sector of the economy of the Republic of Tatarstan in accordance with the Agreement from the 10/02/2015 - not less than 7309 rubles a month, for employees of state and municipal institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan from 01/01/2015 - not less than 5965 rubles a month), brings to administrative liability in accordance with Article 5.27 of Code of Administrative Offences of Russia.
