Today in the Finnish-Tatarstan Business Forum, which took place in Helsinki in the Trade Representation of Russia in Finland, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and Finpro.
FinPro – is an organization that specializes in the assistance in the going global of Finnish small and medium business, attracting investment and tourism development. 200 experts represented by in 64 offices, which are located in 44 countries. The organization includes representatives of more than 400 companies.
Before the signing ceremony, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina presented to the business community of the Republic of Finland the investment potential of Tatarstan.
"In Finland, as in Tatarstan there is developed industry, oriented on export and quality. These are new opportunities for collaboration and cooperation. It is no accident that the Suomi country is called gateway to Russia and the Baltic economy and Tatarstan – is the eastern gateway of Russia and the center of Eurasia", said Taliya Minullina.
Finland is among the small highly industrialized countries, in the annual ranking of the World Economic Forum in 2013 the country ranked third (after Switzerland and Singapore) on Competitiveness, and in 2014 - the fourth. Finland in the international ranking of Social Progress Index in 2015 ranked seventh, improving its performance compared to 2014 year.
Also within the Forum an agreement was signed between the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Finnish-Russian Chamber of Commerce, the agreement between the GAU "IT Park" and the Center for Support of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Business of the "Aalto" University.
