Tatarstan is in the focus of North Capital

On April 5, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina participated in business-mission in the framework of “Import substitution in regional economics” theme-week and in Tatarstan Republic Day, held in Saint–Petersburg from 5 to 8 April.

Business event was supported by Tatarstan permanent representative office in Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad region and Administration of St. Petersburg in the exhibition complex “LenExpo”. Seminar on “Main problems of automated information system exploitation of government order”, presentation of industrial development fund were included in the program of the first day of the event. Tatarstan Day and Day of Association NP “Kamskiy innovative regional production cluster Innokam” became the leading event of the meeting.

The 11th of 2016 week dedicated to import substitution is a part of Russian regions’ days and is followed by the Week of Russian railways. It is interesting that next theme week in North capital will be dedicated to modern technologies and materials. Participants of the meeting looked over the exposition of industrial and investment potential of Tatarstan before beginning of the session. Tatarstan roll-up and 6 roll-ups of industrial enterprises-participants of Association NP “Kamskiy innovative regional production cluster Innokam” attracted a lot of interest among attendances.

Taliya Minullina welcomed the participants and made a report on economic and  investment potential of Tatarstan at the round table, devoted to Tatarstan Day and “Kamskiy innovative regional production cluster Innokam”. She mentioned the issue of territories of priority development. In particular, she told about a new territory of priority socio-economic development “Naberezhnye Chelny”, which is now receiving applications from potential residents, and about new projects of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.  New projects, implemented at Tatarstan territory, were presented in cooperation with Rafinat Yarullin, the President of the Association NP “Kamskiy innovative regional production cluster Innokam”. Thus, Kamskiy innovative regional production cluster is determined as a main economic growing point of Republic of Tatarstan. Industry specialization  is in oil & gas rprocessing and petrochemical, automobile manufacturing. More than 100 joint projects are implemented by cluster participants. About 40 percent of synthetic rubber, 24 percent of plastics and plastic materials, one in three trucks and one in two truck tyres in Russian Federation are produced in cluster`s territory.

Negotiations took place at the end of the official part of the event. Purchase departments of governmental corporations and large companies participated in it. Business contact exchange and B2B meetings with enterprises were organized.

Reciprocal business-mission of Saint-Petersburg entrepreneurs will be held in Tatarstan from 23 to 26 June 2016.
