Attention: an important sign for investors was received

“Today is a remarkable day for the whole Russia: globally known company has entered  Tatarstan”- said Mikhail Babich, Russian Presidential Plenipotentiary in the Volga Federal District, at the solemn opening ceremony of “Haier” refrigerators production plant.  New plant is based in Naberezhnye Chelny at the Master Kama industrial park.

“Haier group opened its first plant in Russia, owning 24 manufacturing centers, 5 R&D centers and subsidiary organizations in Europe, North America, Asia, Middle East and Africa. Group of companies have chosen particularly Tatarstan as an entry point. It is the first joint Russian-Chinese project, not related to the raw materials industry. Tatarstan Investment Development Agency makes its contribution in development of Russian economy. $55 mln of foreign direct investment was attracted. By 2017, Haier intends to employ 500 professionals. Another 1,200 jobs will be created at the expense of outsourcing. Today, the plant employs 120 people. Opening of the new plant during challenging economic times means that Tatarstan is seen by investors as a reliable and perspective partner. It is an important sign for other investors,” –Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina is convinced.

Symbolic launch of the new production was made by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Mikhail Babich, Haier Corporation President Liang Hayshan, and mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny city, Nail Magdeev.

Choice of the territory was not accidental. Firstly, region government`s active position, transparent “rules of game” field level on the Tatarstan market and profitable investment policy attracts Chinese investors. Secondly, Tatarstan is one of the leading regions in Russia on the level of economic development with huge industrial center, such as Kama industrial park” – noted Sun Czhenhua, Director General of Haier company.
