Non-resource export is our magic wand! Tatarstan opens new distribution areas

18 October 2016, Tuesday

From 17 till 20 October 2016, in the framework of Vietnam International Industrial Fair VIIF-2016 Tatarstan Investment Development Agency organized an exposition in Hanoi, the capital of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The visit was organized by Tatarstan Export Corporation which is a subordinate organization of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.

A discussion on current exportation of Tatarstan's production on Vietnam market and prospectives of development of new export goods was held with Vyacheslav Kharinov, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. On the Vietnamese side, the keen interest was shown by Kim Ngoc (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Mai Anh (Vietnam Exhibition and Conference association), Bui Huy Son (Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency), Ministry of Industry and Trade and some representatives of Vietnamese business.

"We presented enterprises which need new distribution areas. These were, for example, JSC “Zavod Elecon”, "Bugulma Mechanical Plant", "Wintercom" Ltd, powder coatings center "RADAR" Ltd, OJSC «Aznakaevskiy Zavod Neftemash», LLC "MultiPlast" and others. Export Corporation is intended to develop non-resource export of Tatarstan aiming to contribute in diversification of our economy. In the context of ever-changing oil-prices, non-resource export is our magic wand" - the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina shared.

Historically warm relations between Vietnam and Russia make foreign trade between two countries more prospective. A large number of Vietnamese executives, who have studied in Soviet Union, speak Russian, positively dispose to Russian goods and services, offer assistance to Russian enterprises to enter local market. Vietnamese colleagues requested assistance in promotion of their products to Tatarstan market. And there won't be any business competition with local producers, while Vietnam asks for assistance in direct sales of coffee to Tatarstan trading networks (Vietnam is the 2nd in coffee export). This will enable direct supply of production avoiding large number of intermediate sellers and increase Vietnamese-Tatarstani and Vietnamese-Russian commodity turnover.
