Tatarstan's Projects on Energy
Energy projects with the use of superconducting technologies can be implemented in the Republic of Tatarstan. It became known today at the regular meeting of the Board of Directors of “Tatneftekhiminvest-holding”. The Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina also took part in the meeting.
Director of “Science and Innovations” and “Russian Superconductor” companies Viktor Pantsyrny made a report on prospects of the new direction. Scope of application of superconducting technologies is wide and includes such spheres as power industry, medicine, defense industry, metallurgy, etc. Thus, a superconducting cable can replace 20 high voltage cables, which is especially important for cities and factories. This removes the need for substations as well as the problems with protected areas in the cities.
Viktor Pantsyrny called the development of energy-efficient innovative superconducting technologies in the production and processing of oil and gas a promising area of cooperation between the State Atomic Energy Corporation "Rosatom" and the Republic of Tatarstan. This is about the development of new technical decisions in the sphere of energy supply to compressor stations of high-powered electrically operated oil- and gas-pumping machines.
General Director of PJSC "Tatneft" Nail Maganov indicated a willingness to test the decisions at petroleum refinery complex "TANECO".
The President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov gave an errand to set up a working group involving Tatneft Oil Company, TAIF Oil Refining Complex, and Tatenergo Energy Company to develop cooperation in this area.
The presentation of "Heurtey Petrochem" company was also made at the meeting. Christian Dupraz, the Senior Executive Vice-President of Axens reported that the company has experience in cooperation with Tatarstan. He offered services of the company for deep processing of heavy still bottoms of oil refineries with yield of gasolene and diesel fuel. Rustam Minnikhanov encouraged "TAIF-NK" and "TANECO" to continue work with this company.
Previously, the management of Heurtey Petrochem company visited Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, where during the conversation expressed their interest in working with such enterprises as PJSC "Tatneft", PJSC "Nizhnekamskneftekhim", PJSC "Kazanorgsintez", PSC "TAIF-NK", SC "Ammoni".
