Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Joined WAIPA

Tatarstan Investment Development Agency became a member of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA).

President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and President of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies Alessandro Teixeira discussed the possibility of joining this organization on May 2011. The meeting was held in the United Arab Emirates within the Annual Investment Meeting 2011 forum. A month later Tatarstan Investment Development Agency got a membership of WAIPA.

The World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) was established in 1995 and is registered as a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Geneva, Switzerland. Nowadays the Association has 244 member agencies from 162 countries. Tatarstan Republic became the 245th member agency of WAIPA.
