Visit of TIDA Members to Malaysia

Chief Executive Linar Yakupov and other representatives of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA) visited Malaysia from 31 July till 6 August, 2011. The main purpose of the visit was sharing Malaysian state bodies experience in activities dedicated to business development and investment attraction.

MALAYSIA

“57% of the Gross Domestic Product of Malaysia is forming by small and medium-size entrepreneurship. The subjects of small and middle-size entrepreneurship are involved in all sectors of economy. The budget for the development of small and medium-size businesses focuses on different ministries.”

During one-week visit the representatives of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA) familiarized themselves with the work of a number of government organizations. Among them was PEMANDU (The Performance Management & Delivery Unit), a unit under the Prime Minister's Department.

PEMANDU

“Performance Management & Delivery Unit (PEMANDU) was formally established on the 16th of September, 2009 and is a unit under the Prime Minister’s Department. PEMANDU’s main role and objective is to oversee the implementation, assess the progress, facilitate as well as support the delivery and drive the progress of the Government Transformation Programme (GTP) and the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP).”

Moreover, the members of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA) visited one of the most popular and large financial groups in Malaysia – AMANAHRAYA.

AMANAHRAYA

Since its establishment as the Department of Public Trustee and Official Administrator on 1 May 1921, AmanahRaya have served the nation for over 80 years and is the market leader in providing trust, legacy management and Will-services.”

Also, the representatives of the Agency acquainted with the work of Malaysia Property Incorporated (MPI), Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA) and MARA Malaysian Government Organization, supporting Malaysian entrepreneurs in finance, information and infrastructure issues.  

The next organization to visit was Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA).

MIDA

“The Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA) is the government's principal agency for the promotion of the manufacturing and services sectors in Malaysia. MIDA assists companies which intend to invest in the manufacturing and services sectors, as well as facilitates the implementation of their projects.”

Binary University College (Management and Entrepreneurship) – was the last visiting place of the representatives of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDA).
