Today Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) together with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation held a meeting with heads of regional investment agencies, ministries and organizations responsible for attracting potential investors in the region.
The event was attended by RDIF CEO Kirill Dmitriev, Deputy Economic Development Minister Sergey Belyakov, representatives of 53 Russian regions, including Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov.
At the meeting discussed the opportunities and competences for the regions cooperating with the Russian Direct Investment Fund. In addition, during the event was presented a new interactive platform Invest in Russia, which allows Russian regions to give online information about their investment opportunities.
Today in the «Eurasian Economic Integration: Achievements and Challenges» forum, held in Kazan on November 28-29, Kazan Smart City was presented.
Event, being initiated by the Eurasian dialogue was held under the patronage of the Federal Agency «Rossotrudnichestvo» and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan. During the two-day forum held two plenary sessions, discussions and video conferences with Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kiev, Minsk, Yerevan, Astana, Beijing and Brussels.
The forum was attended by the Head of the Federal Agency «Rossotrudnichestvo» Konstantin Kosachev, head of the «Eurasian dialogue» Andrei Klimov, Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin, representatives of legislative and executive authorities of different countries, business circles of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, businessmen, scientists, experts from the CIS countries and the European Union.
Tatarstan Investment Development Agency will organize a seminar on region’s tourism cluster, which will take place on December 12 at the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation.
Service Industry and tourism is one of the eight priority areas of the Republic of Tatarstan, which are identified as the main points of the region's growth. The investment seminar «Service Industry and tourism» will be attended by representatives of Tatarstan, Russian and foreign companies working in this field. At the seminar will be presented the investment potential of the Republic of Tatarstan, the advantages of business opening on the territory of republic and analysis of the tourism sector of Tatarstan.

Kazakhstan Kyzylorda region delegation, headed by akim Krymbek Kusherbayev, visited In Tatarstan SEZ «Alabuga», TANECO and TAIF-NK factories, acquainted with the products of JSC «Nizhnekamskshina» and «ElAZ».
November 28, the guests arrived at the «Kazan» international airport. President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met the guests. At the airport, according to the press service of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, representatives of Kazakhstan visited the terminal 1A and laid flowers at the memorial of a plane crash on November 17.
On 26 of November Tatarstan Investment Development Agency held meetings of Belgian “Hygiene Technologies” President Bart Van Mulderen and representatives of ministries and departments, as well as a number of Tatarstan companies.
The delegation Hygiene Technologies also included representatives of the VGP group of companies (Czech Republic) - developer of logistics centers and industrial parks in Central and Eastern Europe.
At the meetings discussed the building of a plant for the production of sanitary products in the SEZ "Alabuga": the resident status of special economic zone Hygiene Technologies got in March current year. Investment in the project is 1 billion rubles.
Global Islamic Finance Awards (GIFA) ceremony was held on the eve during the World Islamic Retail Banking Conference.
Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Linar Yakupov awarded the prestigious GIFA nomination - Islamic Finance Advocacy Award 2013 - for his contribution to the promotion of Islamic finance. Special Award to Linar Yakupov was presented for supporting Islamic banking and finance in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Among the winners of the award over the years became Malaysian state Crown Prince Perak Raja Nazrin Shah (nomination "World leader in the field of Islamic finance", 2012) and former Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi (nomination "World Leader in Islamic finance”, 2011).
Visit of the delegation of the German Investment and Development Corporation (Deutsche Investitions - und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH - DEG) in the republic will last two days.
Today in Tatarstan Investment Development Agency held a series of DEG working meetings with Tatarstan Investment Development Agency First Deputy Chief Executive Robert Galiullin, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Head of examination of investment projects department Guzel Mullayarova, the leadership of Tatarstan Development Corporation, representatives of the largest companies in the region and participants of investment projects in the Republic of Tatarstan.
German Investment and Development Corporation also met with the head of Drozhzhanovsky district Alexander Shadrikov and Drozhzhanovsky district Development Corporation Deputy CEO Lenar Salimullin. They discussed investment projects implemented in the territory of the municipality.
The event will be held on December 3 in Samara during the educational project "Training of specialists - participants in investment projects, implemented with the assistance of development institutions".
The purpose of the seminar "Practice training and managing of investment projects" organized by "Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs” (Vnesheconombank) – is to introduce specialists of organizations - potential partners of the bank with the features of investment projects’ training and managing.
During the seminar is planned to discuss the principles and criteria of searching investment projects in Vnesheconombank, studying the features of projects realization, using public-private partnership mechanisms, as well as practical steps for preparation of project proposals.
On November 28 in the capital of republic will be held a conference " Tatarstan logistics 2013: Effective solutions from the market leaders".
Conference will be held in Kazan "Amaks Safar Hotel". Its key goal is to create a business platform for active dialogue of wholesalers, retailers, cargo, logistics operators, manufacturers and suppliers of machinery and equipment for logistics processes.
The conference is organized with the support of "Logopark.ru", an international consulting company Knight Frank and Communications Group Ekbpromo. Formats of the event – is a reports, presentations, discussions. It is expected of 100-120 participants. Among them are wholesalers, logistics companies, retailers, developers of warehouse space, brokers, tenants and media.
The World Islamic Economy Summit gathers together the largest political and economic leaders of Muslims from around the world. It is organized by Chamber of Commerce of Dubai in partnership with an international company Thomson Reuters.
Today in the Madinat Jumeirah in United Arab Emirates continues the Global Islamic Economy Summit. The Summit is held under the patronage of the Prime Minister of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as part of its strategy to transform Dubai into the world capital of Islamic economics.
The forum was attended by over two thousand representatives of governments, including the Ministries of Economic Development and central banks, industrial, banking, financial and other business sectors, leading experts of public and private companies, heads of major national, regional and multinational companies.
