Today the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with Malaysian consortium, which includes AMANAH Capital Group Company and Straits Consulting Engineers, with the largest conglomerate of the United Arab Emirates - TECOM Investments and a representative of Siemens. These companies have extensive experience on successful implementation of “smart city” projects in several countries. Siemens provides "smart" infrastructure technologies for the realization of “smart city” projects.

Tatarstan Investment Development Agency informs that the V Russian-Japanese Investment Forum will be held in Kazan on 6-7 June, 2012. The event is organized by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan. The main aim of the Forum is the development of mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Japan.  

On 26-27 May, within Entrepreneurs Day the IV Cycle Marathon is being held. More than 30 heads of Kazan small and medium-size enterprises gathered together to ride on the “Alekseevskoye – Bazarniye Mataki – Bulgar” route. Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov participated at the event and rode the distance of 14 kilometers from the Kargopol village of Alkeevsk region to Bazarniye Mataki.

Today, President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Ilyas Umakhanov, Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov, heads of delegations, bankers, representatives of business communities and leading media participated at business breakfast within KAZANSUMMIT 2012: Economic cooperation of Russia and the OIC member countries. The main theme of the breakfast was devoted to the discussion of investment potential of the Russian regions. Welcoming the guests, a moderator of the event Linar Yakupov thanked the guests for their active participation at the summit.

KAZANSUMMIT 2012 gathered together representatives of such countries as the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Algeria, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Turkey, South Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Sudan, Morocco and others. Summit, the main aim of which is to promote economic cooperation of Russia and the OIC member countries, is a reliable platform to explore the investment potential of the Republic of Tatarstan and other regions of Russia, business and perspective investment opportunities.

Among the summit’s guest there are Hameed Opeloyeru, assistant secretary-general of economic affairs at the OIC, AL SALEH Abdullah Ahmed, Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade of the UAE, Member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Ilyas Umakhanov and others.

Today there was an opening ceremony of KAZANSUMMIT 2012: Economic cooperation of Russia and the OIC member countries. A huge number of guests from more than 30 countries, the regions of the Russian Federation, potential investors and business owners gathered together in the capital city of Tatarstan. Summit was traditionally opened with reading of Holly Quran.

According to Linar Yakupov, the Chairman of the KAZANSUMMIT Organizing Committee and Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, in four years of existence the number of participants and joint projects has significantly increased.

Today representatives of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency headed by Chief Executive of the Agency Linar Yakupov met with a vice-president of Panasonic Rus Masato Nakamura.

According to Masato Nakamura, the Japanese company is interested in further business development in the territory of the Republic of  Tatarstan. The Centre of Technical Solutions of Panasonic Company was opened in Kazan in 2010. The key objectives of the Centre include: training of corporate users and IT-professionals of Tatarstan companies, design, project maintenance and support, as well as demonstration of showroom equipment possibilities. Masato Nakamura claimed that today the company is looking for new project opportunities in Tatarstan.

Today Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov met with Head of the Department on regional issues of Ministry of foreign affairs of Iran Mohammad Reza Morshedzade.

During the meeting Linar Yakupov presented investment potential of the Republic of Tatarstan. Particularly, he pointed out 8 key priority industries of the republic for investments. Mohammad Reza Morshedzade informed that some Iranian provinces are ready to cooperate with Tatarstan enterprises.

The delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Luxemburg. During the visit, Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov presented economic and investment potential of the republic at Tatarstan - Luxemburg round table discussion organized by the Luxemburg Chamber of Commerce.  According to a member of the Luxemburg Chamber of Commerce Board Steve Breer, Luxemburg is deeply interested in developing relations with the Republic of Tatarstan.

Today representatives of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency headed by Chief Executive of the Agency Linar Yakupov met with General Director of Yugra Entrepreneurship Support Fund Olga Sidorova and Director of High Technologies Park Yuriy Reutov. The purpose of Khanty-Mansi autonomous area – Yugra delegation visit is experience exchange. During the meeting, the guests of the republic discussed the establishment of a state body in Yugra similar to Tatarstan Investment Development Agency. Moreover, particular attention was given to the problem of international promotion of Yugra in order to attract foreign investment in the region.
