The Roadmap covers such areas as halal tourism, halal production, fashion, finance, IT and media.

The first stage of the Halal Tourism program is the certification of sanatoriums in our region to comply with halal standards, and online involvement of citizens to take part in halal events using the specialized site halallifestyle.ru.

Among those who took part in the discussion were Taliya Minullina, the Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency; Sergey Ivanov, Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on Tourism; Irek Ziganshin, Chairman of the Halal Standard Committee of the Muslim Spiritual Directorate of Tatarstan; Rustam Nurgaliev, Chief Scientific Secretary of the Council of Ulema of the Republic of Tatarstan; Ilsur Salikhov, Associate Professor, PhD in Law, Head of the research group on the study of the interaction of modern civil and Islamic law; Rishat Khamidullin, Chief Scientific Secretary of the Council of Ulema of the Republic of Tatarstan; Radik Abdrakhmanov, co-founder of the Tugan Avylym restaurant complex.

“Tatarstan pays much attention to the development of the halal industry. Today, halal is not only a standard for the followers of Islam, but also a parameter of quality of products and services in secular societies. Almost all sectors of economy are represented here. Traditionally, the potential of the halal segment is presented on the sidelines of the Russia Halal Expo exhibition, which is being held as part of the International Economic Summit ‘Russia – Islamic World: KAZANSUMMIT’. Today we are taking a new step towards the development of the industry, introducing the residents of Tatarstan and the whole country to a halal lifestyle, increasing the tourist flow of Muslims and promoting Tatarstan halal brands,” said Taliya Minullina, the Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.
