27 February 2020, Thursday

Taliya Minullina, the Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Machine-Building Cluster of the Republic, made a speech at the Annual General Meeting of Enterprises and Cluster Supervisory Board.

Within the framework of the event held in the Technopark in the sphere of high technologies "IT Park" in Naberezhnye Chelny, the results of 2019, as well as plans for the current year, were discussed, the issue of re-election of the Management Board for the next 5 years was considered, and voting for admission of new enterprises as members of the Machine-Building Cluster was carried out.

The meeting was attended by representatives of 8 regions of Russia.

“The republic had a good year, but also a difficult one in terms of industrial development. Mechanical engineering reached 19.1% of the overall volume of industrial production development. The total volume of shipments over the year amounted to 549.9 billion rubles. The industrial production index of the industry is estimated at 99.5 percent. We have a lot to work on. We understand what this is all about: it's the general economic situation, trade restrictions at the level of Russia, and many other things,” reported Taliya Minullina, the Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency

The Machine-Building Cluster consists of 15 committees. Talia Ilgizovna stressed some of them: the committee of the Eurasian  technology platform, the committee on the development of subcontracting and the committee on the development of intangible assets.

“As I head the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, I would like to report that investments in fixed assets for 2019 were estimated at 640 billion rubles. In 2019, 69 new residents came to our federal sites and 2 of them are members of the Machine Cluster: "Piton Kama" has the resident status at TOSER (Territory of Advanced Socio-Economic Development) "Nizhnekamsk", and "Bonus Kama" relates to TOSER "Mendeleyevsk". We wish them success. We are expecting these enterprises to open this year.  In addition, an investment agreement has already been signed in 2020, and now two companies that are members of the cluster will join TOSER "Mendeleyevsk": "Tatinstrument" and "Kamkhimmash,” said Taliya Minullina, thanking  Sergei Mayorov, Chairman of the Machine Cluster Board for joint work.

Sergey Vasilyevich presented a report on the work done by the cluster. The targets for the year were discussed with its members. The proposal to establish two new committees in 2020 was adopted by open vote: in tool making and petrochemical engineering.

The meeting concluded with B2B negotiations to strengthen business relations and expand partner networks.
