Today Talia Minullina spoke at a briefing dedicated to the “Russia – Islamic World” forum. The head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency told reporters about the key events of KazanForum: 150 business sessions and about 15 thousand participants from 85 countries and 84 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. These include at least 10 governors, the federal cabinet of ministers, Patriarch Kirill, top officials of the OIC countries, President of the Brix International Forum Purnima Anand and, of course, representatives of the business community and the halal industry. The largest business delegations are expected from Turkey, Malaysia and Iran.

According to preliminary data, at least 100 agreements and contracts will be concluded at KazanForum, including in the field of trade, logistics, education, youth policy, halal certification and training of specialists in Islamic banking. On May 18, a formal reception of honored guests is planned at the Kazan Expo site. All KazanForum participants will be able to visit the Russia Halal Expo exhibition in the Agro-Industrial Park, which has been updated in accordance with Islamic requirements. On May 19, a meeting of the strategic vision group “Russia - Islamic World” is expected at the Kazan City Hall.

In parallel with the KazanForum, a forum of Tatar religious figures “National Identity and Religion” will be held. More than 1000 clergy from all over Russia will gather at the solemn ceremony “Izge Bolgar zhyeny” on May 21

Also during the days of the KazanForum, a varied cultural program is expected: the Nureyev Festival, the “Figital Games” in football, the super final of the all-Russian competition for young hockey players “Golden Puck”, the festival of decent fashion “Modest Fashion Day”, competitions of halal chefs, a light show on the walls of Kazan Kremlin.
